    Human Resource Management  handles the entirety of an organisation’s management system. The HR Department handles everything from recruiting new employees to paychecks of the existing employees. HRM is the basic building block of an organisation. HRM ensures that an organisation has the right quantity and quality of talent to grow.

    • What function does Human Resource perform in an organisation?

    There are several Functions performed by HRM in an organisation to help with its growth and development some of which are:

    1. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment: HRM deals with recruitment and talent acquisition so that an organisation never lacks the right talent. It is the HRM that is responsible for the quality of recruited talent. From the process of defining the job description to onboarding of the selected candidates everything is handled by HRM.
    2. Performance Management: HRM oversee and improve the quality of work by monitoring and providing regular feedback.
    3. Employee Engagement and Retention: HRM conducts activities, training programs and events to increase employee involvement and engagement. This is how Human Resource Managers create a culture that supports employees and organizations both. HRM is also responsible for catching on retention red flags in order to retain employees.
    4. Feedback: Human Resource Management performs the function of providing regular feedback to ensure the quality of work and to meet deadlines.
    5. Compliance and Risk Management: HRM manage all the legal aspects of compliance and ensure that all the labour laws are being followed. HRM is also responsible for providing timely paychecks to employees and to ensure that no one is being abused in any form.

HRM is a handy way to deal with legal compliances and ethical standards as this body in an organisation is specifically assigned to deal with the domain.
